Well generally from what I have experienced although I have no knowledge of what it was like in the 1990s, youths of today seems to lack knowledge in the general side of politics nor do they know what's going on in the country matters. Students that I have been with don't really care about what's going on, maybe because of the fact that the people are tired of never-ending problems situating in our country but still, the pride of nationalism for our country should still be there.
I have seen my classmates tackle down projects on the political topic and most of them just gives out answers in levels of elementary. They don't know that half of the country is technologically lacking and heavily culturally diverse by absolute no means are we fully united under the banner of our country as people from different regions only understand their "provincial language" and lacks understanding mainland language which is Tagalog and would rather have ease speaking English than choose to try speaking Tagalog.
More of the youths are just generally minding their own lives and I can't blame them since there's no point in being very nationalistic when the government lacks to provide proper governing and is still corrupt for already 6 decades.
