2. Essay about sa Pagpapalit ng Ched ng Korean sa Filpino Language I need it tom. Thanks for answering. 10 sentences

3. Essay about Korean wedding

Answer:

The Engagement

Before the engagement, the Koreans would exchange the eight characters or four pillars. This will determine if the match is suitable. When this process is over, they will call for a local fortuneteller to see if the couple could live in harmony. The Korean call this Kung-hap. Afterwards, during the engagement, gifts would be delivered to the bride and groom the day before the wedding. Friends of the groom would then blacken their faces with dried squid ink and dress in costumes. They would then parade with a box filled with gifts or known as hahm. As they get closer to the brides house, they will chant, ¡°Hahm forsale, buy a hahm.¡± Her parents would rush out to greet the gift-bearers. These days, families would meet in a restaurant and bring many gifts. Korean American families can spend around $30,000 to $40,000 on gifts alone.

            The Wedding Outfit

The gown worn by the bride was once the gown of the noble class. The lime-green known as the wonsam and the hwarrot or known as the flower robe is decorated with flowers and butterflies. Underneath the gown, she wears a hanbok, which is a doll-like traditional dress of Korea. On her head is a black cap with gems. On her feet, she wears white socks and embroidered shoes. The make-up is simple except for three red circles, yomi konji, that are the sizes of a nickel. Those circles are traditionally made of red pepper, but now it¡¯s often drawn on. They are suppose to ward off evil spirits. The groom¡¯s faruotsu is also the dress of the nobility. It¡¯s made of dark green damask with symbols woven in gold. He wears a tall black cap made of silk. Traditional costumes can be rented in Korean shops starting around $150.00.

4. Write a 5-sentence informative essay about the Korean drama.

Answer:

Korean culture is spreading worldwide, making names not only famous in Korea, but in a plethora of other countries. Many will be familiar with traditional clothes originating from China and Japan, but not so much with hanboks from Korea. However, what people do know and love is Korea’s pop culture with their all so popular dramas. Dramas are a series of episodes creating a story, but it’s not your usual American TV series or movies. It’s a cultural, society- wide recreational entertainment that people from all classes and genders take part in and enjoy. Also with their growing entertainment industry, the quality of the dramas keeps advancing along with the acting from present and future stars. Korean dramas take entertainment to the zenith of its industry that is growing fast in people’s lives not only in Korea, but all over the world. It’s not only entertainment but can also be a learning experience, an insight into Korea’s culture and history.

Many people’s perception and emotions can be influenced by the way some issues are presented. The media has a very persuasive way to control the way the public sees things. Same thing with dramas; they elicit certain feelings from the audience by what they are showing. For instance, the cruelty under the Japanese when Japan took over Korea portrayed in the drama Basketball created negative feelings towards Japanese. Our senses control a lot of how we feel and are thoughts. When we see and feel the cruelty and the hurt, we in a way put ourselves in their shoes and experience emotionally what is portrayed in the drama. Dramas are powerful tools to control people and the way they think.

5. opinion about changing filipino subject into korean language

11. what do you say about Integration of korean language as part of Philippine education curriculum

I think that the integration of Korean language as part of Philippine education curriculum has both positive and negative impacts - as always with most things in life.

The positive one is that it's good for globalization. When we learn new foreign languages, we are given more opportunities to work and travel abroad with more ease. For instance, a Filipino who can speak and write the Korean language has a better chance of landing a job in Korea. S/he also has a better chance of gaining positive social relationships with Koreans during personal travels to their country.

The setback, however, could be that Filipinos may value the Korean language more than the Filipino language. Many scholars are saying that it's better to learn native Filipino languages and dialects instead of foreign languages in order to strengthen the patriotism and solidarity among Filipinos.

Korean (South Korean: 한국어/韓國語 hangugeo; North Korean: 조선말/朝鮮말 chosŏnmal) is an East Asian language spoken by about 77 million people. It is the official and national language of both Koreas: North Korea and South Korea, with different standardized official forms used in each country. It is a recognised minority language in the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture and Changbai Korean Autonomous County of Jilin province, China. It is also spoken in parts of Sakhalin, Russia, and Central Asia.

Historical and modern linguists classify Korean as a language isolate. however, it does have a few extinct relatives, which together with Korean itself and the Jeju language (spoken in the Jeju Province and considered somewhat distinct) form the Koreanic language family. The linguistic homeland of Korean is suggested to be somewhere in Manchuria.

Modern Korean descends from Middle Korean, which in turn descends from Old Korean, which descends from the Proto-Koreanic language which is generally suggested to have its linguistic homeland somewhere in Manchuria. Whitman (2012) suggests that the proto-Koreans, already present in northern Korea, expanded into the southern part of the Korean Peninsula at around 300 BC and coexisted with the descendants of the Japonic Mumun cultivators (or assimilated them). Both had influence on each other and a later founder effect diminished the internal variety of both language families.

The Korean alphabet, known as Hangul (Hangeul) in South Korea and Chosŏn'gŭl in North Korea, is a writing system for the Korean language created by King Sejong the Great in 1443. The letters for the five basic consonants reflect the shape of the speech organs used to pronounce them, and they are systematically modified to indicate phonetic features; similarly, the vowel letters are systematically modified for related sounds, making Hangul a featural writing system.

The South Korean film “Cold Eyes” is a pure exercise in the thriller genre and professionalism. This is a taut, efficient work which does not waste a single minute of its two-hour running time, and we are entertained by how well its characters do their work. Everything we need to know about them is mostly presented through their professions, and most of them are smart and resourceful enough to be competent players in their intense game of wits and wills. A trivial thing noticed in one small moment can be a crucial chance for reversal in a later situation, and that makes us constantly wonder about what will be the next move to be made.

29. disadvantage of korean language in philippines

The way I see it, learning a foreign language or two is never a bad thing. Due to globalization, people who are bilingual or multilingual are opened to a whole set of opportunities that are not readily available or offered to people who can only speak and understand one language.

Learning the Korean language is not a bad thing because more and more Koreans are visiting the country and they have also become more lenient with Filipinos entering Korea. South Korea's economy is also among the world's best and they are now considered a first-world country that does business with other countries. We may have a competitive advantage when it comes to providing manpower and other services to countries like Korea if we can speak their language and English.

But still, why are there Filipinos against the inclusion of the Korean language in the local curriculum? Here are some valid points that I do agree with:

While Filipinos are quick to jump on the Pinoy Pride wagon, our cultural and national identity is not as strong as our neighboring Asian countries. To instill a strong national and cultural identity, a strong emphasis on Filipino and local languages must be strictly taught at the elementary and secondary levels. Local literature and history must not be taught through routine spoonfeeding but through the cultivation of appreciation and relating it to life and current events. Introducing a new language will take time and effort away from this. While it is true that speaking and understanding more than one language is beneficial, more emphasis must be placed on English first. Since English is the world's lingua franca, this would benefit more students if they can express themselves eloquently in English. The introduction of languages other than English can be done later on when students are at a more advanced level such as Senior High School or college.Individual or regional students must be given a choice on which language they should be allowed to learn. This is because some languages may benefit a select group of people than others. Career paths and emerging trends and other factors should be considered when setting a language class for students or when choosing which to learn.
