2. reflection about Jose Rizal Life

Answer:

The life of Jose Rizal was a truly inspiring story. Not just as an ordinary story of a Filipino but a story of a very intelligent and talented Filipino, who is ready to sacrifice his whole life just to give freedom and peace to his family, and own nation.

For one semester, I’ve known who really Rizal is. It might not all about him, but those learning’s and knowledge I learned, is enough to say to myself and to other Filipino and even not, that he deserves to be what he have known for today. And that is, the National Hero of the Filipino. His life was truly amazing and colorful for the hero’s experiences mold him to what God purposely do to him.

Jose Rizal, for my own insights, tells me the value of certain things which is important for the success of his life. That is God, Family, Country and Self. He could not reach as that far without God. The Lords is the most important one who could determine our success, just like as Rizal feared God and in return, he have been bless abundantly not by material things only but a spiritual one. That is intelligence, skills, love, and compassion. Also the role of family is next important for Rizal had been blessed with a family who could guide him to what he really aims. Even nowadays, family is one of the foundations of a person’s character. Next one is country! For Rizal’s portray the love of the country as a means of loving his fellow Filipino, thus helping them to attain justice from the evil and corrupt priest and Spaniards who are mistreating them in their own land for God has created us to extend our help with our fellow as a symbol of glorifying Him. And last is Self. I have learned from Rizal’s life that you should make yourself fruitfully. He makes himself grow to wisdom and knowledge to use it in God’s purpose. He did not say to himself that he is not worth enough and live blind for what is happening in his environment. Thus, he is knows that he is a child of God.

Moreover, Rizal proved that pen is mightier than a sword. For his expertise in writings enable him to convince his whole fellowmen to attain justice, thus destroying an empire. For words flies wherever and ignites every man’s feelings. Just like as a saying says that word is powerful, there comes positive and negative in it. It could heal one’s heart but also harm another like a double edged sword. Rizal have a God fearing heart so that he have ignite change and peace and thus mean we Filipinos should have a good conscience and God fearing heart to impose positive changes.

Thanks to Rizal for he is inspires me and thanks to our professor who imparts and explains all this knowledge for us to better understands it.

18. about Jose rizal reflection of webinar

Answer:

Oh, hello.

Republic Act 1425 imposes the requirement of reading the works of Rizal. So, let's see. Filipino students first learn about Rizal in preschool in connection with the celebration of Linggo ng Wika and National Heroes Day in the month of August.

Then, in our Araling Panlipunan (Social Studies) classes, we learn about Rizal's contribution to our history. We learn of his accomplishments, etc. By the time we finish high school, we will have read his novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo. We will have also read two works by Francisco Balagtas, the Ibong Adarna and Florante at Laura. We will have read them in the Pilipino translations because these were originally written and published in Spanish.

If the Filipino student goes on to college, the Filipino student will learn about Rizal once more in a Rizal course. In my time, the Rizal course was taught in Spanish because we were required to take 12 units of Spanish as part of the general education curriculum.

So, why was this law passed? There is a long legal history backing this.

1.)The Taft Commission on June 11, 1901 passed Act 137 to honor the memory of Jose Rizal by naming Morong province as Rizal province.

2.)On September 28, 1901, Act 243 was enacted and the public land in Luneta was chosen as the place to erect a statue of Rizal.

3.)On February 1, 1902, the Philippine Commission enacted Act No. 345 setting December 30th each year (Rizal was executed on December 30, 1896) as Rizal Day.

4.)The Rizal monument in Luneta was unveiled on December 30, 1913, Rizal Day.

5.)In the 1920s, Rizal Day was celebrated with colorful parades

6.)On December 30, 1937, President Manuel Luis Quezon signed into law Commonwealth Act 184, establishing Tagalog as the National Language (Tagalog was Rizal’s first language.

7.)The much loved and very popular Ramon Magsaysay was sworn in as president on December 30, 1953 at the Luneta.

8.)On August 10, 1954, President Ramon Magsaysay issued an Executive Order to prepare for the celebration of Rizal's centenary (Rizal was born on June 19, 1861).

19. reflection about Rizal and revolution

Answer:

JOSE RIZAL AND THE REVOLUTION

Revisiting Renato Constantino’s “Veneration without Understanding”

By Chris Antonette Piedad-Pugay

When we open the pages of history books in the Philippines, it is not surprising to see texts about the martyrdom of our most celebrated hero– Dr. Jose Rizal. In fact, it seems that his name already occupied a permanent and prominent place in every publication that has something to say about the Philippines.

Truthfully, there is nothing wrong about immortalizing Rizal and his heroism in books and literatures read by several generations of Filipinos and non-Filipinos. Probably, most writers deemed that doing such is a fitting way of paying respect and gratitude to his contributions and sacrifices for the benefit of the Filipino people and of our nation. It’s just unfortunate that in trying to present him as an icon of heroism, he was placed in a pedestal that became too tough for Juan dela Cruz to reach.

22. reflection about the exile of Rizal in dapitan

Explanation:

Jose Rizal, a man with so many accomplishments. Jose Rizal gives all of us inspiration in all the things we do. He is inspires us to be hardworking and diligent, which most of us are not.

I am amazed that even though Rizal was in exile, he didn't mind the fact that he was sent to Dapitan to live like a prisoner and yet he still manages to accomplish many things. He has taught the poor Mindanao folk to unite for trading so that they may become independent and free themselves from the Chinese and thus become less exploited, in the sense that he organized a cooperative even in exile. While many people would be in panic, despair or lose hope for any success in their lives because of being exiled Jose Rizal continued to serve his country. This is what made Jose Rizal stand out of the others as a hero to a nation. He was truly a man of action. He always put his countrymen first before him.

He truly was a man of action, he did not only looked over the people nor just tell people what to do, he helped them in their everyday work. Rizal was intelligent and yet very humble.

Right now I wish that the tree he planted would somehow magically make Rizal appear in this time of ours so that I can praise him for what he did for us.

Rizal truly was a person for his countrymen, he truly was a patriot and nationalistic for he never wanted to see his fellow countrymen being oppressed and being exploited.

I wish I could go to Dapitan for a glimpse of how our hero lived in Dapitan while being exiled. Last June 19, we celebrated Rizal's 143rd birthday. That's two lifetimes for the average Filipino, quite a long time. But not really so when one thinks about the baluno tree he nurtured and which grows to this day as our living connection to him and when one thinks about the issues he cared about and which continue to challenge us today: health, education, poverty and inequality. It would be such an honor to know more about our hero.
