Date: 03/10/22Dear journal,

table tennis, also called (trademark) Ping-Pong, ball game similar in principle to lawn tennis and played on a flat table divided into two equal courts by a net fixed across its width at the middle. The object is to hit the ball so that it goes over the net and bounces on the opponent’s half of the table in such a way that the opponent cannot reach it or return it correctly. The lightweight hollow ball is propelled back and forth across the net by small rackets (bats, or paddles) held by the players. The game is popular all over the world. In most countries it is very highly organized as a competitive sport, especially in Europe and Asia, particularly in China and Japan.

8. What is the Difference Of Lawn Tennis and Table Tennis?

Answer:

People say tennis and table tennis seem quite similar to each other. However, there are clear differences between tennis and table tennis: equipment, rules, and popularity of these two sports.

Compare with table tennis, the tennis has some difference. The equipment to play tennis is two rackets, which are 27.5 inch long and around 9.3 oz. It usually is made from plastic and rubber. Maybe some other rackets are heavier than usual, because those rackets have some customer changes. If you want to serve the ball from one side to another, you have to let the ball hit the square area in front of other player. If you can’t hit that area, you may lose a point or can’t continue to play the game. Also, the size of the count for singles and doubles are different. If you play with a player, the wide of the count is 26 inch; but for the doubles, wide would be 2 inch more (the lengths of both are same). Tennis was invited by people from England, and it is very popular sport all around the world. The age of the players can range from child to old age.

No matter male and female, it is international.

From last paragraph, we know something about tennis; it is slightly different from table tennis. First, you need to play on a table instead of a court. The equipment of the table tennis is two or more paddles, and a small ball. The paddles usually are made from wood and rubber and the ball is plastic. The size of the paddles is usually 6 inch wide and 10 inch long (including handle). The score of a game usually is 11 points. In China, people play 21 points. The rules of the table tennis are similar to the rules of tennis, because both have similar count. So, one rule of the table tennis is always let the ball hit the table, or you will lose one point. The size of the tables are the same, no matter you play with single or double players. Table tennis is very popular in eastern counties. For example, China has a lot of people who like to play table tennis. And now, more people from western countries are like to play table tennis too. That sport is easy to play with less movement, so young people and older people can be able to play table tennis. That is good for their health.

From this comparison between tennis and table tennis equipment, rules, and popularity, they are similar kind of sports. I like both sports, but I prefer to play table tennis. I think table tennis is easier for me, because I have played it for a long time; but I only had played tennis about 1 year and I will keep play it. I recommend these two sports. They are all good for our health, no matter what age they are.

16. history equipment basic skills of badminton, table tennis and lawn tennis?

ANSWER:

Badminton, table tennis, and lawn tennis are all popular racquet sports that require a combination of physical skill and strategic thinking. In each of these sports, players use a racquet to hit a ball back and forth over a net, trying to score points by making it difficult for their opponent to return the ball.

In badminton, players use a lightweight racquet and a shuttlecock, which is a feathered object that is struck back and forth across the net. The game is played indoors or outdoors on a rectangular court, and players must use a combination of power and control to keep the shuttlecock in play.

In table tennis, players use a small, lightweight racquet and a hollow celluloid ball that is struck back and forth across a table. The game is played indoors on a table that is divided by a net, and players must use quick reflexes and precise placement to keep the ball in play.

In lawn tennis, players use a larger racquet and a pressurized rubber ball that is struck back and forth across a net on a rectangular court. The game is played outdoors on a grass, clay, or hard court surface, and players must use a combination of power and spin to keep the ball in play and score points.

Overall, while the specific equipment and rules of badminton, table tennis, and lawn tennis may vary, all of these sports require a combination of physical skill and strategic thinking to be successful.
